Payzone parking is now available in Galway City

Galway City Council has launched the Galway City Parking app in partnership with Payzone, designed to enhance the convenience of parking for residents and visitors alike, making it faster and easier for residents, commuters and, visitors to pay for parking in Galway City.
 

How to use the solution:

A choice of payment options designed around you, and flexibility to use with or without an account.

• Mobile app: The easiest way to pay. Download the Galway City Parking on iOS or Android or Payzone customers can use the Payzone app.
• Online: Pay directly on galwaycityparking.ie or the payzone website using your debit or credit card.
• Payzone retail outlets: Pay with cash or card in over 35 retail outlets in Galway City.

Patrick Greene, Director of Services, Galway City Council commented, “The introduction of online and app payment makes it easier for motorists to pay for parking in Galway City. The move also reduces costs associated with cash collection and maintenance of equipment, delivering greater efficiencies to the local authority. The introduction of app and online parking payments is part of our Connecting Government 2030 programme, to provide more services online to the public.”

The new cashless parking service is now available in all council operated parking spaces across Galway City. 
Additionally, parking payments can still be made with cash using the on-street parking meters.
